The American Chess Academy is bringing its fantastic program back to Mt. Washington for a six week after-school session, beginning April 28. Whether learning the game as a beginner or learning the secrets of chess strategy, your child will have fun and develop important skills in this program.
The fee for the 6-week session is just $40. Regular tuition is $80 for a 4-week session. Friends of Mt.Washington School will sponsor each student by paying half of the class fee!

Sigma Coding will be offering a Level 1 Scratch Programming class after school on Tuesdays starting January 24th. It is only for 4th-6th grade and will be limited by the number of computers in the Computer Lab. The class is regularly $195, but with the support of FOMWS, each student will receive a $45 discount.Read More

Your child is invited to the first annual, school-wide Stone Soup Event on Friday, November 18, 2016. In the many versions of the Stone Soup folktale, a hungry stranger arrives to a village, pulls out a stone, places it in a pot and claims to be cooking a delicious Stone Soup, slowly enticing others to add what they have to the soup until the whole community has shared a hearty meal together.
