Marmion Way Clean Up - January 26, 2019
Join FOMWS, the L.A. Conservation Corp., Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council, Gil Cedillo's office and the Mount Washington Homeowners Alliance to clean-up Marmion Way on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 from 8:00am-11:00am.
Please mark your calendar and join us for this family friendly and fun community event. Coffee, water and refreshments will be provided. We will meet at Museum Dr. and Marmion Way.

The FOMWS Annual Auction is coming – and we need you!!
Last year the auction raised $70K for Mount Washington Elementary School! The auction consists of two parts - an online portion (in April) and a fantastic live event (this year it will be May 3 at York Manor). The auction committee curates these very special events - bringing together parents, local artists, and local businesses to support our school. The committee always meets in the evenings at someone’s home, and kids are always invited.
Our auction committee kick-off meeting is:
February 6th, 2019
6 - 7:30 P.M.

Here are some of the many ways that you can help:
1 - Join the auction committee.
This team plans and executes the auction. Are you good at fundraising or sales? Do you have press/publicity/marketing know-how? Are you a party planner or do you like to host parties? Do you have stage management, lighting or set dressing savvy? Do you have catering skills? Are you a performer who can lend your talents to our event? Or, if you just like to be part of a team that plans fun things and gets awesome things done, you should join us.
2 - Donate goods or services to the auction.
Examples include food or libations for the event itself. Artwork, gift certificates, tickets to events, jewelry, toys, experiences, hotel or vacation rental stays, etc. for auction items. If you can’t donate items directly, perhaps your company, someone you know, or their company has something excellent to donate.
3 - Sponsor the event.
Sponsors give money directly. Families and local businesses can sponsor. If you own a business, or if you are an independent contractor like a Real Estate Agent, Lawyer, Mortgage Broker, Accountant, Insurance Professional, etc., you should sponsor. You will not only FEEL GREAT doing so, but you will also get increased visibility in our school and community - you’ll be featured in the Auction publicity in advance of, during, and after the event.
We need all hands-on deck-please let us know how you might participate and help!
Heidelberg & Moon Canyon Clean-Up - 10/13 CANCELLED due to rain
Join FOMWS, Team Cedillo, the LA Conservation Corps and Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Saturday, October 13 for a great morning of cleaning up beautiful Heidelberg Park and Moon Canyon Park (corner of San Rafael and Moon Dr). Gloves and other equipment will be provided. Snacks, waters and coffee will also be provided. This is a kid-friendly event.
